Cartridge throttling and shut-off valves, thanks to their construction, can perform two functions. They can be used as throttle valves or shut-off valves. In addition, they can be used in any body. If they are to act as a throttling valve, the pressure side must be connected to port “A”. If they are to act as a shut-off valve, the direction is not important because this valve maintains no leakage in both directions.
