Pressure relief valves maintain the set pressure in the supply line. After exceeding the value of the set pressure, this valve opens and remains open until the pressure in the inlet pipe drops to the set value. This means that the pressure relief valves are of the NC (normally closed) type. The drain line usually connects to the tank.
