Flow preventing Valves
Flow preventing Valves
Shut-off valves are a group of components that stop the flow of oil in one direction and allow it to flow in the opposite direction. The flow can be stopped automatically (e.g. check valve) or by turning a knob, screw or lever (drain valve). This group of valves also includes valves that allow flow in both directions when a control signal (pressure) is applied – these are pilot operated check valves. Another group of valves are logic valves, which have two inlet ports and one outlet port. Their task is to redirect the oil from only one inlet connection to the outlet connection.
The flow stop function can be used e.g. to keep the actuator in the desired position; protection of the pump against system overload; performing logical functions.
